Artane boys' prison (the so-called industrial school) lay within the Archdiocese of Dublin and, by Papal decree, operated under the Episcopal authority of the Archbishop of Dublin. Successive bishops of the Dublin Archdiocese covered up the abuse of Artane boys by the jailors (the Christian Brothers). But the Murphy report, soon to be published, will say nothing about the Artane cover-up, for the simple reason that in 2006 the then Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell, chose to exclude the Artane cover-up from the Murphy inquiry's remit. This meant that the clerical rank of the abuser and the precise geographical site of the crime within the Archdiocese would determine whether a particular cover-up could be investigated by Murphy. Only if the accused was an ordained priest and the alleged abuse occurred outside the prison walls could Murphy investigate the cover-up. This investigative apartheid discriminated against child prisoners abused by low-ranking clerics and in favour of freeworld boys abused by ordained priests. In short, the Murphy report is yet another cover-up by the Irish State - and a pretty nasty cover-up at that.

Of course, these perverts have CONFESSION, all they have to do is confess and all is forgiven! What an awful rotten bunch of people. Why are govt. depts. being obstructive in not handing over information. Have they all got something to hide? Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Cuppa!

.....It is this involvement by the most senior of the country’s prelates that will set the Dublin report apart. The Ryan report on institutional abuse focused primarily on responsibility and cover-up within religious orders.....
.....Other patterns likely to emerge are that the children targeted for abuse came very often from the most devout of families. And to further compound the scale of the tragedy, these families and individuals who complained were often ostracised and condemned by many within their own parish who chose to disbelieve them.....
.....Finally, it should be remembered that almost every aspect of what will be revealed in the Dublin report has been repeated in other dioceses around the country. Most of them have so far escaped similar scrutiny. Perhaps an extension of the inquiry process nationwide should now be the next step.....

IS THIS THE END OF THE LINE THEN ?

WILL THERE NEVER BE AN ENQUIRY INTO OURSELVES, IRISH MEN AND WOMEN WHO MAKE UP THIS SOCIETY ?

AND ME THINKING THIS WAS ALL ABOUT "CHILD ABUSE".......!!!!!!!!!!!!!
