Gerard. As I don’t run an organisation – someone described me reasonably accurately as a “one man band” with this website as a means for people to communicate their thoughts and feelings about various topics. Perhaps someone coming across the message from you will be kind enough to contact you or me with the information you’re seeking. Best wishes. Paddy.

    Subject: Baltimore Trust Fund.
With ref to the above Trust Fund, you may like to contact me as I am dealing with this matter and I am in contact with some of the relevent Legal people involved, and also the the trustees.I was requested by ‘Right of Place’to investigate the current status of this fund and have made some progress but need more information. I am an Ex member of Baltimore Fishery School 1942-1948. If any other ex members of the Baltimore Fishery School who are out there, please contact me as I want as much info as possible on this subject so that I can hopefully bring the matter to a successful and satisfactory conclusion,I also need for the record to draw up a list of all surviving ex-members of the Baltimore Fishery Schools.

    Regards.

  14. Gerard Clune says:

    Hi Sally,
I may be of some assistance to the three people mentioned in your comment, i can be contacted at 087-2279530 or cluneg@eircom.net any evening between the hours of 5-7pm.
Looking forward to hearing from them.

    Many thanks.

  15. sally mulready says:

I have tried to track the Baltimore Trust down because we have three elderly Irishmen who were in Baltimore .

It seems the contact number given is incorrect and the Trust has been advertised by ROP who are asking people who were in Baltimore to apply ‘through them’. Not a good idea under the current circmstances, so I am now trying to find out to whom should our three elderly gentleman apply to in order to secure a grant from te Baltimore Trust.

I spoke to Tom Hayes of Alliance and he was to be fair very helpful .

When I find out I will let people know. Right now its just a mystery tour trying to locate the holders of the Baltimore Trust. Anyone with any info please let us know.

    Many Thanks Kay

  17. Andrew says:

I hear they’re giving out the free cheese!

  18. Who is this man. and the support group mentioned allience suppert are not at all available for any info . also thay are very unfriendly towards survivers. all the comments are clearly meant to hurt survivers of industriel schools. so how can thay pretend to organise the trust fund.if we become members just by clicing on then its only about having members in order to be given control over us . this should stop

  19. robert says:

we were fed the spin doctors tales as usual to save embarrassment, blame, guilt, money on the government/religious behalf.
there is and always been a lot of work done on this site thank god paddy had the heart to set this up and maintain it.
the groups talk of money, paddy talks about words of truth.
if the groups were honest in the first place they might have at least tried the same.
the more i think of these groups the more i hate the fact they are even mentioned on behalf of survivors/witnesses of industrial school torture

  20. robert says:

this is where the media in ireland is a joke a farce an insult to every single person in the country.
there is NO NEWS OF TRUTH.

  21. Paddy Doyle says:

Is this a case of The Alliance trying to gain some sort of respectability for the “over 1000 members” it claims to have?

I can’t help but doubt the sincerity of the the fund. I hope I’m wrong.

    Paddy.

  22. Paddy says:

I don’t know if it’s a scam Fiona but as is said in Dublin and other parts of Ireland………..I HAVE ME SUSPECTIONS!! Paddy

  23. Fiona says:

I called this man and he said he needed me Da’s name. I said me da is dead. He said there was only 15 people entitled to this fund and that I could contact Nuna at Charity Donations in Dublin to verify. How come this man Thomas has control over any information. He would not give me the information and I don’t know where to find Nuna
Is this some kind of JOKE?
and why do we also have to contact this Alliance Support group. I’m afraid now to click on thie website incase they list me as one of their member. So where do i go to find out what this is all about. thomas said they didn’t want people calling claiming the funds. All I called for was some information about the Trust fund.
Is there other Trust fund out there I don’t know about. He said because times were bad people were desperate for money. I only wanted information NOT THE MONEY. Hey Paddy is this a Scam?

  24. Paddy Doyle says:

Who is funding this fund? That is a burning question. Is it the taxpayer, the HSE….who or what?
