I admire your courage and your attempts to change the way Irish society functions. But, let’s be serious here, the Irish people (per se) are an emotionally-repressed, brutalised, people – so they are not going to ASSERT themselves aginst their INTERNALISED 800-year-old oppressors in a couple of generations.

That guy aka ‘Father Payne’ who raped you as a child, did so, becuase he could violate you. Why? Because your parents did not protect you from perverts like him. Why? Because they were paid up members of the same socio(pathic)-political system to which he belonged to.

You only have your own parents to blame for what was done to you as a child, at the end of the day!

I want to thank you for all the work you’ve done in the past, in contributing to expose the abuse and finding ways forward, and acknowlegde your own terrible experience. I am glad to hear you have some peace in your life and I hope it is as you say.

I would love to believe that, but doubt very much it will happen. Have the events of the last 2 months, since the publication of the Ryan Report, not been cataclysmic enough to unleash the Unconditional Condemnation I often refer to? from the moment they kept the Victims and Witnesses away from the room at the Konrad Hotel, to when they refused to send Clare a copy of it to America last week?
There have been countless opportunities to “wake up”, each sadder and bigger than the last, and still it hasn’t happened. And still it is not happening. The entire nation is still paralysed, frozen and shut down about the issues involved. This is still the most important matter facing Ireland now. It is only when we square up to this that we will make real progress on the other fronts. Right now, we are Morally Bankrupt, and everything else can only be “built on sand”.

Keep it up Andrew, your country needs you now more than ever.

The legal system and the Church are both patriarchal systems designed to compliment each other.

Opus Dei is well placed inside the court system and secret courts were and are perfectly designed to keep the public in the dark about the real truth of the abuse.

Church, State and legal system worked hand in hand in order to keep the predators safe and free to feed off innocent children.

Now, thanks to real people like Andrew and Paddy etc the truth is coming to light.

Thanks to you survivors, the next generation of children will hopefully be a lot safer.
