Was it because of their 'relationships' with Group Leaders? Alternative lifestyles taken on a whole new meaning! There has to be some truth in the rumour that the abused become abusers. It's known in a certain Irish town of a man who is supposed to have raped his wife and 'got at' his child! Would we want these people speaking on our behalf? Look at what happened on Joe Duffy in the past couple of weeks!! Integrity, honesty and courage is what makes a leader. How many have you met that you could honestly say possess these qualities in any measure? How did those people attend the President’s bash in the Park manage to get invites to it? If they don't have such a mandate then they do not represent people they claim to speak for. How could they? The so called Group leaders were behaving as it was all about them. Bringing in their family and friends, according to the Irish Media. Who elected these people? Who gave them a "Mandate"? They do not represent me or any of my siblings or any of the other people that were in the Industrial School I went to. Not one person that was in my school were invited to this event, Well the people that remained in Ireland that is, I can't account for people who maybe went to the UK and came back for it. Tell me, Paddy, did you elect these people? Did the Government give them a Mandate? What I'm worried about Paddy is that when the Government meet again when the religious come back and the three person panel give the Cori property figures. My worry is that these group Leaders, who seem to be springing up from all corners, get to decide what will happen. I do not want these people deciding for me, without my VOTING them in to Represent me. Does that Clarify it Paddy or should I go on? I think if you entered the Industrial Schools system at 7 years of age you’d be kinda old … I was 5 and my brother was 3 years old when we came under their scrutiny . I know of people who were incarcerated at 18 months!
