You cannot be serious SurvivorVoiceIreland…!?'<!?? BEHIND the Cathedral in Knock I bet you, with the other lovely bronze pieces to Irish Saints… On a pallet, in the rain and out of the way…. It wouldn't surprise me at all….

  2. Thank you Paddy for all you do much appreciated.

  3. Raymond says:

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ANY MEMORIAL IS THAT, IT SHOULD BE ‘ALIVE’ WITH THE STORIES OF THE VICTIMS – AND REFLECT THE REALITY – NAMELY, JUSTICE “SEEN” TO BE DONE. THE FOLLOWING LINK GIVES A FLAVOUR OF THAT. NOTE THE SPEED OF THE CASE. THE CONSEQUENCES – IMMEDIATE ‘AND’ TO FOLLOW. THE TANGIBLE RESULTS FOR THE VICTIMS. JUSTICE IS THE BEST – THE ONLY THERAPY!

Cathriona, Thanks for Clares e-mail address, have sent her one, giving my tuppense worth, and thanking her for speaking on our behalf.

If only many of the various other TDs were fighting also in our corner, im sure the mighty Quinn would determine and accept that Survivors do absolutly qualify for the right to have a say in the entire matter of the STF.

By denying us this right, and ignoring our pleas, e-mails and letters, he and his cronies are simply building up a further legacy of shame, to add to their existing history ,which is part and parcel of Irelands Government and Religious failures to its Children.

  5. Cathriona says:

Hi Paddy and every one!, E-Mail for Clare Daly is; clare.daly@oireachtas.ie
    Best wishes Cathriona

  6. Paddy says:

I was in the Dáil for the debate and Claire Daly spoke most eloquently about her opposition to the Bill. She reminded Ruairi Quinn that she and others would be putting down a lot of amendments to it. Do you have and email address for Claire Daly? If so, perhaps you’d forward it to me or better still post it here. Paddy.

  7. Cathriona says:

The government haven’t won yet, i’v sent the bulk email again and Clare Daly TD sent me an email saying; ” we voted against the statutory fund and will be tabling amendments when it gets to the committee stage to reflect a lot of the points made by many survivors” …. Every one needs to start bulk emailing because if we don’t fight for what we believe in well there is no point in crying about it when it’s gone!. “In the end, we will not remember the words of the enemy but the silences of our friends” (MLK jr) best wishes to all and thank god for the god squad as I would be lost without it, it keeps me informed without it I wouldn’t even know about the statutory fund! Cathriona

  8. Cathriona says:

Bulk email all TDs telling them that we want a vote all 15000 survivors names/addresses the redress board have them all, let them send us a ballot paper YES or No to the STUPID statutory fund!

  9. Cathriona says:

Hi all, yeah Quinn is telling lies about the survivors wanting the statutory fund, I’m an awarded survivor “no body asked me if I wanted the statutory fund” … Any I know many more survivors that were not asked ” so who told Quinn that they wanted a statutory fund?” …. I think Quinn thinks we are all Criminals like most of the industrial schools inmates got in trouble with the law “it’s called rebelling against the enemy as it were the Gardai that put most of us in there kips!” … Are we going to give up and except a stupid fund that we the survivors DON’T want??? …. I’ll battle on and will not give up empty handed no way Hosea! Best wishes to all Cathriona.

And thay got there first. How this happened without the survivers in ireland knowing is just an example of the respect we dont get. So paddy when you had the door shut on your face this was also part of the plan. you know paddy with hundreds of us asking you to represent us the door was shut on all of us. proberly you would have fell about laughing at the idea of a healing stone.

  11. Martha says:

    Paddy Doyle said:-

“That ‘rock’ as you refer to it Mossie has nothing whatever to do with the Memorial as recommended by the Ryan report.”

I wouldn’t be so sure about that, Paddy.

The people behind the Ryan Report (Irish judiciary) are not as Independent as they seem.

    Martha

  12. robert says:

Mr Quinn even struggled to read the statory fund in the dail how is he going to judge art? The worst Minister ever who is spearheading 50 50 deal but hey he can because he is allowed unchallenged

  13. Mossie Heaphy says:

I am aware of that also Paddy, but they have NO intentions whatsoever in giving the Survivor an ANNUAL day of Atonement, if they have any say.

This would be seen as rubbing their nosed in it ANNUALLY, if you see what i mean. They want to be rid of us all once and for all, and for the world to completely forget that all of this NEVER Happened.

  14. Paddy says:

That ‘rock’ as you refer to it Mossie has nothing whatever to do with the Memorial as recommended by the Ryan report. Paddy.

  15. Mossie Heaphy says:

The Religious are all in favor of giving us a Rock to look at, thats because they do NOT want Survivors to have an Annual day of Atonement. This way, Survivors will be remembered Annually, just like having a day like Christmas, day for the birth of Christ, its an Annual thing.

They want to bury us all under this Stupid piece of Rock, some Muppet spent €500.000 to concoct, Are they for bloody real??

  16. Well if i understood right it seems that the memoral is allready there. it was placed near the alter during the congress. its discribed as a healing stone. on it there is the usual apologies. where that was dicided is a mystery

  17. SurvivorVoive Ireland says:

It’s been placed in knock co Mayo the west of Ireland, out of the public eye, why am I not one bit Suprised … We don’t need to be reminded of our abuse it would answer them better to look after the survivors that did’ent make it survivors living on the street drinking them Self’s to death won’t ask for help because they are ashamed or embarrassed by been a (victim/survivor) of church/state abuse! … One thing about me is “I don’t do back doors I say it how it is!”

  18. Paddy says:

A rash judgement Frank given that you don’t know what the memorial will be.

  19. FXR says:

An “international jury”? An international jury wasn’t locked away in the Catholic Gulag for decades. You can bet you arse the so called “memorial” will be some incomprehensible piece of modern art that won’t tell anybody the truth. People will look at it from every angle and still won’t know the Roman Catholic church was the criminal to blame.
